Roses – A Symbol Of Love, Celebration And Beauty!

Roses have been used since ancient times to symbolize events, milestones, feelings and so much more!

Are you aware of the fact that rose species is approximately 35 million years old?

It is believed that Cleopatra of Egypt had her living quarters filled with rose petals in an effort to have Marc Anthony think of her every time he smelt a rose.

According to Greek mythology, the rose was created by the tears of Aphrodite (the Goddess of Love) and the blood of Adonis, Aphrodite’s lover!

In 1986 the rose was named the national flower for the United States!  It is the state flower for North Dakota, Georgia, Oklahoma, New York and Iowa!

There are over 4,000 songs dedicated to roses!

Avoid making a Floral Faux Pas!  Know the meaning of various colored roses!

Purple roses, my personal favorite, means Enchantment!

Lavender roses can offer a daily reminder of your Love and an Eagerness to blossom your relationship!

Light Pink roses convey Gratitude, Grace, Admiration and Joy!

Peach roses signifies Modesty!

Orange roses indicates Enthusiasm, Passion, Excitement and Intrigue!

Salmon roses can also evoke Enthusiasm, Excitement and Desire!

Yellow roses implies Friendship and the Joy they bring you!

Burgundy roses means unconscious Beauty!

Blue roses symbolizes the Impossible!

Dark Pink signifies Gratitude and Appreciation!

Green roses signifies constant Rejuvenation of Spirit!

White roses, the purist of colors, represents Innocence, Purity, and Charm!

Cream roses indicates Charm and Thoughtfulness!

Black roses indicates Death, Mourning and Farewell!  It can also symbolizes Courage and Resistance!
